Obituary For David Mitchell Peter Faircloth

David Mitchell Peter Faircloth, 70 years of age, transitioned into eternal rest on December 31, 2022. He was born the second of ten children on April 16, 1952 to the late Mr. Burnis Waydell and Mittie Catherine Howard Faircloth in Clinton, NC. In 1956, this family of six at the time would migrate north, and land in the bustling Hudson Valley. As a child his primary education was obtained in the City of Poughkeepsie School District. Later David joined the U.S. Army, 1968-1969 and he would find himself stationed as a paratrooper in Frankfurt, Germany. His Battalion was named (Airborne Rangers). Upon his return from the European bid, David would join the Tighten Up’s Precision Drill Team; under the leadership of the late Supreme Commander Harvey Lee Everhardt. Professionally David began his career at Conrail Railroad as a Machine Operator. Which would later become Metro North Railroad. After nearly forty years of service David retired. He leaves to cherish his memory, his companion of 17 years, Ava Smith, his devoted daughter Sade’ Davonia Faircloth-Rowley and her husband Jeremy Rowley. A beloved step-daughter Nicole Harvard-Thomison, God daughter Tami Gause and a chosen daughter Kentoria Curtis; A loving granddaughter, Madison R. Rowley, his “Boo-da” whom he revered. All of Poughkeepsie NY. Kimberly Smith of Wappingers Falls, NY. Tony Smith of Gastonia, NC. His brother Tracy L. Faircloth (Lori) of Salemburg, NC, Johnnie R. Faircloth (Tralia) of Roseboro NC., Joseph W. Faircloth, Melvin F. Faircloth, a (cousin who was raised, as his brother) Charles E. Faircloth, one sister, Mary D. Faircloth all of Poughkeepsie NY, a brother Michael Faircloth (Lillie) of Lake Whales FL. And a community of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved-ones. He is Pre-deceased by his Mother Mittie Catherine Howard Faircloth, and Father Burnis Waydell Faircloth, sisters, Sandra J. Faircloth, Brenda D. Faircloth, and brother Jeremiah Faircloth.
